On Apr 15 2016 the IUPAT Glazier Pre-Apprenticeship program from the OIFSC went downtown to 60 Brant St to learn some basic Glazing and contribute to a good cause.  Excitement was in the air as instructors Ron Leroux and Tim Dong led the Pre-Apprentices in removing and replacing 40 window panes that had been damaged over the years in the old building.  60 Brant is being renovated top to bottom and converted into a youth housing complex called Eva’s Phoenix.  This charity project is an excellent way for the Pre-Apprentices to start to learn the basics of their trade, raise awareness for the IUPAT and its community outreach, and contribute to a good cause in the community.

“The new facility at 60 Brant Street, near Spadina and Richmond, will provide housing for 50 youth aged 16 to 24 years, for up to a full year in 10 townhouses.” – Yonge Street Media link
