Ottawa:

Hotel:  Extended Stay Canada, 141 Cooper Street Ottawa, ON K2P OE8 613-236-7500

Training Center:  199 Colonnade Road South, Unit 4, Nepean ON, K2E 7K3

Suggested directions from Airport to Hotel:

Take Bus 97 Downtown to Cooper St.  Walk 5 minutes to 141 Cooper St Extended Stay Canada.

Toronto:

Hotel:  Extended Stay Canada, 3600 Steeles Ave W, Vaughan, ON

Training Center:  130 Toro Road, Unit C, Toronto ON

Suggested directions from Airport to Hotel:

From Terminal 1, take Bus 52A Lawrence West.  At Dixon Rd and Martin Grove Rd, take Bux 46 North – 46 Martin Grove towards Steeles Ave. At Steeles Ave West at Martin Grove Road, take Bus 60 East – 60 Steeles East Towards Finch Station.  At 4545 Steeles Ave West, walk 2 minutes to the hotel at 3600 Steeles Ave W.

Ancaster:

Hotel:  Super 8, 2975 Homestead Drive RR 1, Mount Hope ON  L0R 1W0, Canada

Training Center:  1430 Osprey Drive, Ancaster ON

Suggested directions from Airport to Hotel:

From Terminal 1 Pearson Airport, take Bus 40 – Hamilton GO Centre towards Hamilton.  At Main St. W. and Summers Ln, walk 2 minutes to MacNab Transit Terminal.  From MacNab Transit Terminal, take bus 20 Hamilton Airport via Mohawk College towards Airport at Homestead Dr.  At Airport and Homestead Dr, walk 750m to 2975 Homestead Dr Super 8 Motel.

Additional Information:

One week prior to the start of class, Apprentices will need to contact the Training Centre in order to confirm that their hotel is booked and flight arrangements are made.  The Training Centre will also send this information by email.

Rooms:  Rooms are booked with two Apprentices per room.

Gas Allowance:  Apprentices driving great distances to come to class may be eligible for a Gas allowance from the MAESD.  Gas allowance is administered by the MAESD Apprentice Rep (ETC) in each area.  The ETC from the closest MAESD office will normally come to the Training Centre the first week of school and assist apprentices with available supports.
